Busy Busy Week

A Belated Happy Thanksgiving to my American Friends.
All I can say is Whew.. glad Im not hosting any big dinners this year.
( We were on our Western Caribbean cruise during Canada's big Turkey Day)

Anyhoo...
I wanted to share another card Im made for the Moxie Fab World Blog Challenge.
I felt like this challenge needed a Clean and Simple design.
The floral stamp is from Autumn Leaves
The Sentiment stamp is from G Studio
(You know in the dollar bin at Michael's)
Stampin' Up Ink
and 3 little My Mind's Eye crystals.

And here is another card I made for the CARDS Magazine Blog Challenge
October Afternoon floral paper,
American Crafts Polka Dot Paper
Fiskars Edge punch
Hero Arts tag stamp
Stampin' Up Ink
Offray Ribbon
Bakers Twine
Various Buttons.

The girls and I are filming our 12 days of Christmas
videos all day today,
hopefully will get all the projects filmed,
leaving me to edit all weekend.
So I'm off,
Thanks for stopping by,

Bree

Christmas in the Old Country

My first stop every morning is the MOXIE FAB WORLD blog.
Not only am i filled with inspiration every single day,
but Cathy also comes up with some fabulous challenges,
that really, and I mean really, get me thinking outside of my box.
That's not an easy task, because I have a HUGE box.

The current challenge is to create a OLD COUNTRY CHRISTMAS card.
So here is the card I created for it.
I really love how it turned out.
So I made another
I used Unity Stamps "Folk Inspired"
G Studio sentiment stamp "Merry Merry"
Making Memories "Vintage Finds" paper
Stampin Up inks,
and Offray Ribbon,
(you know I love big bows)
and a handmade hat pin as featured in my webisode last week,

I also wanted to share my GETSKETCHY card.
I can't believe I forgot to post it.
I think because I featured it on Technique Tuesday's webisode.

We are sponsored by the AMAZING PINK PERSIMMON this week.
I just love Darcy and her team.
I used one of her stamp sets for this card.
(and a handmade hat pin of course)
And last but not least..
I am going to be hosting
THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
Handmade Gifts for the Season
Webisodes starting Dec. 1st.
So I hope you'll check it out here,
or over at CROP SUEY
or on YOUTUBE.
Here's a sneak peek of one of the projects..
I gotta run,
I gotta film today's webisode...
so we'll see you tomorrow.

Ho Ho Ho!

This week's Challenge over at
BUTTONS!

Here's a card I made for it.

And here is a little card I whipped together today.
I just got my Studio Calico kit,
and I just had to use this stamp,
I hand cut out my own wonky frame,
and used Nook and Pantry paper.
So I'm getting back on track.
I still get winded quite easily,
and its seems like im always tired,
but what can you do about it?
Make cards and scrapbook, right?
Thanks for stopping in,

Bree

FINALLY... A new post

Sorry girls,
My iphoto locked me out and whats a blog post with no photos?

(photo taken before school)

It was my daughter Haylie's Sweet Sixteen on Friday.
Yup Friday the 13th...ooooo
Oakley (who's 5) and I went and bought her 18 white roses,
a cupcake and the largest mylar balloon we could buy,
and surprised her in her Math class.
(giving her baby brother a smooch outside class)

We made sure the balloon was so big she couldn't fit it in her locker,
so she had to carry it with her all day.
It was classic!

Jason and I sent her and her BFF Addie to a dinner theater .
It was called "The Groovy 1970's"
They had a blast.
Doesn't she look gorgeous (Im a proud mama)
During the day I had my girlfriends Camille and Nicki over to help me with the cake.
Isn't it the most ugly cake you have ever seen?
It looked way better in my head when I designed it...lol
And it was my first.. and last... time ever using fondant.
It was a disaster, but Haylie loved it.
She is so amazing!
Happy birthday Peanut!

I was also trying to take a head shot this weekend.
Which isnt easy when you are alone.
What do you think?
Im wearing the little Japanese yo yo headband I made.
It could be worse, right?
I needed one for the new Design team I'm on...
Penny is amazing and so is the team.
I'm ecstatic to be asked to join such a talented group of artists.
So I hope you'll come and join us for our challenges.

Missed you guys,
Bree

PS If you're waiting for some Happy Mail or a prize...
they have all been mailed out.... finally.
Sorry for making you wait,
I'm still getting over the H1N1,
so i appreciate your patience.
